At Journey we believe in missions! Our main focus is church planting and below you will be able to learn about who we are partnering with to accomplish reaching people for Jesus.

6 Degree Initiative

The 6 Degree Initiative is a church planting movement focusing on the unreached people groups just north of the equator in West Africa. This area spans the balmy African coast that has been greatly impacted most by Voodoo and the exportation of precious human life through the slave trade. JJ and Melissa Alderman, 6 Degreeā€™s founding missionaries, are partnering with national leaders to plant churches in the least-reached cities of the region. A concentrated church planting movement within these culturally significant cities serves as a launching pad for ministry into smaller communities.

The goal of 6DI is to make 190,000 disciples from ten unreached people groups in Togo and Benin in ten years. They prayerfully do this through five projects: Togo Church Planting, Benin Church Planting, Togo Palms Camp and Institute, Deaf Project, and Vocational Training.

We have been exploring a possible partnership with 6DI and are sending a small group from our church over to Togo the last week of October 2021.  For more information or to give select one of the boxes below.

Converge Church Planting

We are voluntarily associated with a movement called Converge because of how well they do church planting.  In fact, Converge has helped Journey get started back in 2004.  We want to help new churches also get started.  Our region of Converge is called Converge Great Lakes (Wisconsin and the UP).

Converge Great Lakes has a goal of planting 25 churches in the next 5 years.  Your gift can literally help churches get planted in Wisconsin and the UP.  I can assure you that Converge is a reputable organization, manages funds well, and these funds will go directly into planting more churches in our region of Wisconsin and the UP.
