At Journey Community Church we understand that community with other like minded believers is of the utmost importance. At Journey we believe the best way to grow deeper in your faith and relationship with God is to be involved in a Growth Group. Our goal is that anyone who comes to Journey Community Church has the ability to join in a community and grow together in Jesus.

We believe that life is best lived in relationship with one another, and our Growth Groups are where we do life together. We also want to make a larger church feel small and Growth Groups help make that close community happen.

At Journey we take Jesus command on making disicples seriously. That is why we have developed an Intentional Discipleship Pathway focused on Acts 2 with the theme verse of Acts 2:42-47. Acts 2 lays out the seven rhythms practiced and modeled by the early church. These are the seven rhythms that make up our Intentional Disicpleship program.

The rhyhms were all carried out with a community of people, and in our growth groups is where Intentional Discipleship happens.

Currently we are gearing up for launching our Growth Groups on January 19, 2025.

At that time two types of groups will be offered: Rooted and Story of God.

The Rooted experience takes groups in the church on a 11-week journey of learning and practice. Groups learn foundational Christian beliefs and practice the 7 rhythms of discipleship from the New Testament. The experience challenges and inspires participants to step beyond their comfort zone as they follow Jesus.

The Rooted Workbook will guide the group for this 11-week journey into a deeper connection with God, purpose, and the Church. Experience the joy of following Jesus and build strong connections within the church community.

Rooted should be taken before signing up for the Story of God.
