JCC RE-OPENING PLAN
In person worship services are at 8:45am and 10:30am.
JourneyKids in person service 8:45am only.
Journey Kids is returning to an in-person gathering. Currently our 8:45am service only will be in-person. We are taking some precautions to keep everyone safe, and one of those is to limit the total capacity of rooms so that there is adequate space for physical distancing. Therefore, parents MUST pre-register their child(ren) before coming on Sunday. You may do so at the below link. Please do not wait until you arrive on Sunday to pre-register your child(ren) because it is possible that we may already be at capacity. Please scroll down a bit to see the other precautions we are taking as we relaunch.
RELAUNCH FAQS
We are making the 8:45am service available for JourneyKids and we are going to add a 10:30am program after some time. The purpose of this is to make sure we have enough volunteers to cover one service as we are expecting teachers will need to quarantine at times. Once our community numbers are better we will look at opening up the 10:30am service for Journey Kids. Please know that if the 10:30am service works the best for you you are welcome to have your children join you in the general worship service. Our general worship service length has been adjusted so that it is more kid friendly.
Maybe. In an effort to keep teachers and children safe we are limiting the amount of people in rooms. We encourage you to pre-register so that if we are full you can choose how you plan to worship that day.
The first thing to do is to pre-register if you haven't already done so. If you have pre-registered please go to the JCC App, select check in, and then the service your child(ren) are attending. You will then receive a barcode that you will show at check in, and it will be scanned and serve as your child(rens) registration.
The CDC says, “People should wear masks in public and when around people who don’t live in the same household.” Beyond that, it simply says, “Masks should not be worn by children under age 2, or anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance."
Journey asks that those bringing children into preschool and elementary classes please have their kids wear a mask.
Staff and students will sanitize hands going in and out of all rooms.
There will be a reduced number of toys in rooms, and we ask that you do . not bring toys from home. There will be no Tracker Tickets or Market toys until at least Easter. Children will be given the option to take something small home for doing well and learning with us during the service.
Yes, this will help us to keep children safe and make sure there is adequate physical distancing. We ask until further notice that you register your child(ren) each week until further notice.
There are two ways to register. The easiest way is to download the Church Center App. Click on Google Play, the Apple App Store and install on your device(s). After downloading please search for Journey Community Church and make sure it says De Pere, WI, and then select it (you may need to set up a one time username and password). Once you are in JCC App select Events on the bottom of the screen, look for the date of the service your child(ren) will attend and complete the simple registration form.
You can also visit https://journeydepere.com/kids/ and click on the preregister button.
Sign up for the wait list. Watch JK from home, or have your children join you in service. We hope this does not happen, but at this time to make sure we have enough volunteers and teachers, once the places have been filled for that morning we need to have a cut off.
Currently we are under an executive order from Governor Evers that requires all those age 6 and over to wear a mask, but we are asking that all preschool and elementary students wear one. Should your child forget a mask we do have child size masks available (adults too)!
We are leading with love for our children and staff and giving our program the best chance to continue in person. We still offer an online program for those kids at high risk or families unwilling to wear a mask.
Yes. For the safety of the rest of the classroom, we will do a basic temperature check to ensure that all kids are not running a fever.
